Govt confirms no privatisation plans for BSNL, MTNL

Government has ruled out the privatisation of telecom firms BSNL and MTNL, Deputy Communications Minister Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar confirmed in Parliament on Wednesday. He also announced ₹6,900 crore capital expenditure plan for BSNL. In February, Centre had allocated around ₹6,000 crore for the 4G network expansion of both telecom companies.
