Govt counters Rahul after he dissents on names proposed for central panel chiefs

Government countered Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's dissent on names proposed for posts in several central panels, including Chief Information Commission and Central Vigilance Commission. "Five out of eight recommended names were from disadvantaged sections," reports quoted government sources as saying. Rahul had alleged the shortlisted names didn't include SC, ST, OBC and EBC members.
