Govt denies claim of Northern Army Commander being removed over Pahalgam terror attack

Government's PIB Fact Check has said that several pro-Pakistan social media accounts are "falsely" claiming that Northern Army Commander Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar was removed from his post after the Pahalgam terror attack. "Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar is attaining superannuation on April 30. Lt Gen Pratik Sharma will be appointed as the new Northern Army Commander," it said.
