Govt denies reports Aadhaar card will get a new look to have only a pic & QR code

The government has denied reports that the Aadhaar card will get a new look by the end of 2026 and will have just a photo and a QR code. "This is not correct...there's no plan for any such changes," PIB posted on X. Asking people "to ignore such reports", PIB urged to only "refer to official communication from UIDAI."
