Govt dismisses fuel adulteration reports, says only 2 cases found
Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas dismissed reports of fuel adulteration on Tuesday, stating that fuel quality is monitored on regular basis. It said out of 2,000 samples, two cases of chloride contamination were found after which the pumps were immediately suspended. The ministry added that water ingress testing is done in more than 87,000 outlets around 12 times daily.
