Govt eases gems and jewellery compliance rules amid West Asia war

The government has extended the deadlines for export, re-export and re-import in the gems and jewellery sector for 30 days amid the West Asia war. The relaxation extends the re-export/import period from 90 to 120 days for deadlines expiring between March 1 and May 31. The decision is expected to ease compliance pressure on firms suffering from long transit times.
