Govt employees can opt for Unified Pension Scheme till June 30

The Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) under the National Pension System (NPS) will be effective from April 1, 2025. Central government employees have until June 30, 2025, to opt in. Eligible employees include existing NPS subscribers, new recruits, and retired employees. UPS guarantees a minimum monthly pension of ₹10,000 with government contributions.
