Govt enacts Gaming Act prohibiting all forms of online money games

Government on Wednesday enacted the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 (Gaming Act) prohibiting all forms of online money games. The act prohibits the advertising and facilitation of such games and empowers authorities to block access to unlawful platforms. Offering online money games or facilitating financial transactions will attract imprisonment or a fine or both.
