Govt expected to beat ₹80,000-cr asset sale target in FY27: Report
The Indian government expects to surpass its ₹80,000 crore asset-sale and monetisation target this fiscal year, despite pressure on public finances from the Middle East conflict. The government has already raised over ₹52,366 crore through stake sales, including its ₹31,552 crore. LIC divestment, its biggest in years. Higher fertiliser costs and fuel subsidies had raised concerns over meeting the target.
