Govt explains how India's inflation, Budget will be affected by geopolitical uncertainty

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that apart from inflation being imported due to geopolitical uncertainties, El Niño causing the monsoon to be "less than normal" can also add to it. She added that Budget numbers don't need to be reconsidered "as of now" because measures are in place to meet challenges, like a surge in oil prices, fertiliser rates, etc.
