Govt explains why no choice can be given between pure petrol, E20, other blends

The Centre said offering motorists a choice between pure petrol, E10 and E20 is not feasible as it would require separate storage, transport and inventory systems across over one lakh fuel stations. It said parallel infrastructure at refineries, terminals, pipelines and depots would also be needed, increasing handling costs, complicating inventory management and reducing operational efficiency.
