Govt extends deadline for filing appeals before GST Appellate Tribunal to July 31

Finance Ministry has extended the due date for filing appeals before the GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) by a month to July 31. The ministry said the decision was taken after stakeholders highlighted technical difficulties due to a rush to file appeals on the last day. It noted that the last 15 days saw 5,500 appeal filings on average each day.
