Govt fact-checks video claiming PM Modi gifted his portrait to Xi

PIB fact-checked a video being shared online claiming PM Narendra Modi gifted a portrait of himself to Chinese President Xi Jinping. "The claim is fake...The porcelain memento featuring PM Modi's image was gifted by Chinese President Xi Jinping to PM Modi in Mamallapuram on 12 October 2019," PIB said. Xi Jinping is currently in Delhi to attend 18th BRICS Summit.
