Govt fines Zerodha Asset Management, Kamath for late hiring of CFO

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has penalised Zerodha Asset Management, its Founder Nithin Kamath and other key directors for failing to timely appoint a CFO as per the Companies Act. The company didn't have a CFO till the appointment of Chintan Bhatt on March 24, 2023. "The company is contesting the order," CEO Vishal Jain said.
