Govt fully operationalises new labour codes by notifying rules

The Central government has fully operationalised the four labour codes by notifying rules on Friday. The provisions of the labour codes include a mandatory appointment letter, free health check-ups for workers aged 40 years and above, and weekly working hours capped at 48 hours. The draft rules were published in December last year to seek feedback.
