Govt grants temporary customs relief on SEZ goods sold in India

The government has temporarily reduced customs duty on goods manufactured in Special Economic Zones (SEZ) and sold domestically. The concession will range between 5% and 12.5%, significantly lower than standard rates, across all industries. Businesses that started production on or before March 31, 2025, will be eligible for the relief effective from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027.
