Govt hikes onion procurement price to ₹2,125/quintal in Maha, 3rd revision in FY27

The Centre has raised the onion procurement price in Maharashtra by 13% to ₹2,125/quintal under the Price Stabilisation Fund, up from ₹1,875/quintal. This is the third upward revision in this fiscal year due to sluggish procurement. Officials expect the revised procurement price, now at par with market prices (around ₹2,100/quintal), to encourage farmers to participate in buffer stock procurement.
