Govt issues advisory on use of painkillers and antibiotics

The CDSCO issued an advisory regarding the use of painkillers and antibiotics. It asked citizens to take antibiotics strictly as advised and those with kidney issues to inform doctors beforehand. Healthcare professionals were asked to consider prescribing the lowest effective dose for the shortest appropriate duration. Pharmacists were asked to discourage self-medication with antibiotics.
