The Drugs Controller General of India has issued an alert for patients and healthcare professionals to discontinue the use of Digene Gel manufactured at the drugmaker's Goa facility. It has also asked them to report any adverse drug reactions (ADRs) arising due to its consumption. Abbott voluntarily recalled Digene Gel due to isolated customer complaints on taste and odour.
