Govt issues high level warning for lakhs of Windows users over issues with motherboards

The government issued a high-level threat warning for lakhs of Windows PC users in India. CERT-In said vulnerabilities have been reported in ASUS, GIGABYTE, AMD, ASRock and MSI motherboards using certain Intel chipsets, which can allow a local attacker with physical access to gain access to computers before the operating system loads. This could allow them to bypass security restrictions.
