Govt launches 'Chunauti', contest to boost startups in tier-2 towns
Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has launched 'Chunauti', a competition to boost startups and software products, especially in India's tier-2 towns. The government has earmarked a budget of ₹95.03 crore over a period of three years for this programme. It aims to identify around 300 startups working in areas like edutech and agritech solutions for masses, and medical healthcare.
