Govt launches PM SVANidhi app to help street vendors get micro loans

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has launched the PM Street Vendor's AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) Mobile App to provide a user-friendly digital interface for lending institutions (LIs). The government said it will enable field functionaries of LIs, who have proximity with street vendors, to ensure maximum coverage of the micro-credit scheme which was launched on June 1.
