Govt launches single emergency helpline number 112 in 16 states, UTs

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Sanjay Gandhi jointly launched the single emergency number '112' in 16 states and Union Territories and Mumbai on Tuesday. The helpline is an integration of police, fire and women helpline numbers. The health helpline will be integrated with it soon.
