Govt lists Indian industries hit by Trump's tariffs, highlights how they saved themselves

Economic Survey 2026 noted that Indian industries dealing in gems and jewellery, marine products, auto parts, textiles, pharmaceuticals, paper and leather products were affected by Donald Trump's 50% tariffs. It noted that most sectors have shifted exports away from US, focusing on alternatives like UAE, Malaysia and UK. Gems and jewellery sector saw sharpest dip in US exports, at 44.3%.
