Govt lists rise in institutes, airports under PM Modi's leadership

As PM Narendra Modi became India’s longest-serving elected PM, central government highlighted that the number of airports in country has increased by 121%, from 74 in 2014 to 164 in 2026. The number of IIMs in India increased from 13 in 2014 to 21 in 2026, while the number of IITs rose from 11 in 2014 to 23 in 2026.
