Govt lists states with districts that account for 80% of new COVID-19 cases
Around 80% of the new COVID-19 cases in India are being reported from 90 districts, Health Ministry Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal said. These districts are in 14 states namely Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Manipur, Goa, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Puducherry, Tripura and West Bengal. The infection is spreading in a localised way in limited areas, Agarwal added.
