The Centre has mandated social media platforms to take down sensitive content, involving nudity and impersonation, within two hours, reducing it from the earlier deadline of 24 hours. The timeline for removing unlawful content has been reduced to three hours from the earlier 36-hour deadline. Platforms are now required to resolve complaints within 36 hours instead of 72 hours.
