Govt may allow global pacts in new chip design scheme: Report

The government is set to expand its design-linked incentive (DLI) scheme under the India Semiconductor Mission 2.0, Financial Express reported. Under the proposed structure, Indian firms can form consortiums with foreign players but must hold at least 51%, with stakes of global partners capped at 49%, it added, citing officials. This comes after the initial DLI scheme saw limited traction.
