Govt may block licence, vehicle registration for unpaid e-challans under draft rules

The Centre has proposed new rules for motorists who fail to clear traffic e-challans. Under the proposed rules, vehicle owners and driving licence holders with unpaid challans that have attained finality may be barred from accessing key vehicle and driving licence-related services. They could face blocked driving licence and vehicle registration-related services until the challan is disposed of.
