Govt may discuss Triple Talaq ban during winter session

The Centre is likely to introduce a bill to ban instant Triple Talaq during the Parliament's upcoming winter session after it was outlawed by the Supreme Court, reports quoting officials said. It added that a ministerial committee was constituted to formulate a law on 'Talaq-e-biddat', wherein Muslim men divorce their wives by repeating the word 'Talaq' thrice in one go.
