Govt may hike stipend under PM Internship in Budget 2026: Report

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, in the Union Budget 2026-27, may hike the one-time stipend amount provided to interns under the PM Internship Scheme by ₹1,000-₹2,000, Moneycontrol reported. At present, new interns are provided a direct benefit transfer of ₹6,000. Government would allocate over ₹30,000 crore for the employment scheme that will generate 350 million jobs by July 31, 2027.
