Govt may withdraw ₹2,000-cr BHIM-UPI, RuPay incentive scheme: Report

Government is likely to withdraw the BHIM-UPI incentive scheme for low-value person-to-merchant (P2M) transactions and RuPay debit card payments, ET Now reported. The government had allocated ₹2,000 crore for FY 2026-27 to support low-value BHIM-UPI P2M and RuPay debit card transactions. The possible withdrawal comes after the government announced MDR on selected UPI transactions from October 15.
