Govt mulls raising CCEA FDI approval threshold to ₹15,000 cr: Report

The Centre is considering raising the FDI approval threshold, requiring Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) clearance to ₹15,000 crore from ₹5,000 crore, PTI reported. If implemented, the move could boost large investments, reduce bureaucratic delays and make India more attractive to foreign investors. The existing limit has remained unchanged since November 2015.
