Govt mulls single-state GST registration for small e-commerce sellers: Report

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs will propose a scheme to the GST Council next month to ease compliance for small e-commerce sellers, Moneycontrol reported. Under the proposal, suppliers would need only one GST registration instead of separate registrations in every state. E-commerce firms will be responsible for ensuring that the suppliers are registered with the authorities.
