Govt nearly doubles cybersecurity projects' allocation in Budget

The Centre has nearly doubled allocation for cybersecurity projects in Interim Budget 2024 from ₹400 crore in 2023-2024 to ₹750 crore in 2024-25. In 2022-23, the allocated budget for cybersecurity projects was ₹30 crore. The hike in the projects' budget comes when there have been several cybersecurity attacks on government institutions, like the one on AIIMS in 2023.
