Govt owned insurance companies settle claims of 13 IAF crash victims at record speed

State-owned New India Assurance (NIA) and United India Insurance (UII) settled insurance claims of late CDS General Bipin Rawat and 12 others who died in the IAF helicopter crash, at a record speed. While UII settled the claim for General Rawat and seven others in 30 minutes, NIA settled late Brigadier LS Lidder's claim within an hour of being informed.
