Govt paid ₹2.01 crore to Delhi station stampede victims: Vaishnaw

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed Lok Sabha on Wednesday that ₹2.01 crore was paid as compensation to 33 families affected by the February 15 stampede at New Delhi Railway Station. The incident, which took place amid a rush for Maha Kumbh Mela, killed 18 and injured 15. He also detailed infrastructure upgrades, including new rail lines and road bridges.
