Govt picks Zoho, 9 others for made-in-India Zoom alternative, gives ₹5L to each

The government has shortlisted 10 companies to build a made-in-India video conferencing alternative to platforms like Zoom. Zoho, HCL Technologies, PeopleLink and Data Ingenious are among the shortlisted applicants. These ten entities would receive ₹5 lakh each to develop a prototype of their solution, after which three startups will be shortlisted and given ₹20 lakh each to build the product.
