Govt planning to form panel to regulate online gaming platforms

Centre is planning to establish an inter-departmental committee to regulate online gaming platforms, according to a report by the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI). The proposed committee would include representatives from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), RBI, tax and consumer affairs departments. DGGI's annual report highlighted online money gaming as a "high-risk" industry.
