Govt plans ₹1,000 crore priority sector startup fund: Report

Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has reportedly planned to form an India Startup Fund with an initial amount of ₹1,000 crore. Reportedly, the proposal is to provide seed funds to 5,000 startups in priority areas like rural healthcare and clean energy solutions. Startups focussed on technologies like AI may eventually be covered by the proposed fund.
