Govt proposes intervention in 6 areas to accelerate economic growth as part of Budget 2026

While presenting Budget 2026, FM Nirmala Sitharaman said, "To accelerate and sustain economic growth I propose interventions in 6 areas." "Scaling up manufacturing in 7 strategic and frontier sectors; rejuvenating legacy industrial sectors; creating champion MSMEs; delivering powerful push for infrastructure; ensuring long term security & stability; and developing city economic regions," she said.
