Govt proposes phased rollout of tech that lets vehicles to talk to each other

Centre has proposed a phased rollout of mandatory vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication, a technology that will allow nearby vehicles to exchange real-time information to avoid accidents. From October 2028, all vehicles will be required to be fitted with V2V communication systems. The framework will rely on 5.875-5.925 GHz frequency band, which has been exempted from licensing requirements.
