Govt raises ₹25,491 cr via OFS in PSUs in 2026, highest in 11 yrs

The government has raised around ₹25,491 crore so far in 2026 through offer for sale (OFS) in eight public sector undertakings (PSUs), marking the highest in 11 years. The previous high was recorded in 2015, when the government raised around ₹35,291 crore through stake sales, according to data from Prime Database Group. Coal India emerged as the largest contributor.
