Govt removes fare caps on tickets of domestic flights from August 31

Government has decided to remove fare caps on tickets of domestic airlines from August 31. The airfare caps were imposed on domestic airlines in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic. "The decision to remove air fare caps has been taken after careful analysis of daily demand and prices of air turbine fuel," tweeted Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia.
