Govt removes minimum export price for non-basmati white rice

The government has removed the floor price of $490/tonne on non-basmati white rice exports to boost the commodity's shipments. A ban on non-basmati white rice exports was lifted last month and replaced with a minimum export price (MEP). The government also removed a 10% export tax on parboiled rice a day earlier.
