Govt responds after Karnataka finds 31.2% ethanol in E20 petrol

Union Petroleum Ministry responded after the Karnataka government claimed that it found 31.2% ethanol in E20 petrol, which is supposed to have 20% ethanol mixed with petrol. It noted that fuel samples from Karnataka weren't sent for regular quality testing as per the prescribed guidelines in October. It further raised doubts over testing methodology cited in the Karnataka government's findings.
