Govt responds as report claims India refused to buy LNG from Russia

Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has dismissed a report that claimed India declined to buy an LNG consignment from Russia as a "myth". "We have never imported LNG from Russia," he said. He also dismissed reports of a "major lockdown" coming to India. "These false narratives put out by western interests...they need to be debunked," he added.
