Govt responds to demand to hike minimum EPS pension from ₹1,000 to ₹7,500

Minister of State for Labour and Employment Shobha Karandlaje said the government has received representations from stakeholders to raise the minimum pension under the Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995. Pensioners seek an increase in the minimum monthly pension from ₹1,000 to ₹7,500. Karandlaje, however, didn't confirm any move to increase the minimum pension.
