Govt restores ₹100 crore project approval powers to L-G of 5 UTs

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday restored the powers of the Lieutenant Governor/Administrator of five Union Territories for approval of projects up to ₹100 crore. The Union Territories include Ladakh, Chandigarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu and Lakshadweep. This power shall be exercised after consulting with UT's finance secretary, it added.
