Govt sacks 3 IAF officers over accidental firing of BrahMos missile into Pakistan

The Centre has sacked three officers of the Indian Air Force (IAF) with immediate effect while holding them responsible for the March 2022 incident where a BrahMos missile misfired, the IAF said. The terminated officers- a Group Captain, a Wing Commander and a Squadron Leader- deviated from SOPs, IAF said. The weapon was accidentally fired into an area in Pakistan.
